She joined the firm a year ago and will oversee a practice, which the firm says has more than 300 employees serving more than 1,000 organizations. Kooi is responsible for overall financial results, strategic direction and alignment of service offerings, as well as partner and associate development.

Before that, Kooi was a partner with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause for 13 months and she spent 18 years one month with Deloitte in Chicago, Ill., where she was a managing director, providing attest and consulting services to the financial services industry.
