Damien Greathead has joined Practice Ignition as head of marketing. With the new job, he is returning to Australia after having been based in the United States for 15 years.
Practice Ignition markets customer engagement, contacts and payments software. It acquired $26 million (Australian) in Series B funding in September., money designed to support global growth,which included expansion into South Africa in January.
Since then, the company has been expanding its leadership. It hired David New as head of Apac and Matt Kanas as head of Americas in October; Emma Crawford-Falekaono as head of EMEA, Rebecca Mihalic as head of Accounting in Apac, and Jackie Brian as chief revenue officer in November.
Greathead was with RecieptBank for January 2015 until he moved to the new job. While there, he was VP of business development, North America, VP for customer marketing and headed its accountant’s program.

He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards. Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that.
