Armanino has launched a certification program, Industry Edge, for employee of the accounting firmn in five different sectors. The program covers Technology, Real Estate, Nonprofit, Healthcare and Cannabis businesses and offers three levels of credentials in each.
“We’ve amassed vast amounts of knowledge and data through our deep experience within industries,” Matt Chavez, partner-in-charge of Armanino’s Technology Industry team, said in a prepared statement.
The levels are the Practitioner level with employees studying via independent e-learning. They must score 80 percent or higher on an exam. The Specialist level adds case studies and research and finally, with Expert, team members work with clients to demonstrate expert. They receive a public-facing electronic badge when levels are completed.
Bob Scott has provided information to the tax and accounting community since 1991, first as technology editor of Accounting Today, and from 1997 through 2009 as editor of its sister publication, Accounting Technology. He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards.
