A commercial power outage that knocked out Intuit's computer systems had the company scrambling to restore Web services, its second major outage in the last 45 days. The company's Intuit ProLine Facebook page reported the problem occurred this morning, July 14, Pacific time and that most service was restored by around 5 pm Pacific time.
This was the second widespread outage to affect Intuit's Internet-based applications and services since early June. That episode saw a routine maintenance knock out primary and secondary power backup and left many systems down for more than a day.
Most services were reported back up around 3:30pm PT, although the Facebook site had a posted that reported problems persisting with Lacerte My Account and MyProSeries
