Jon Baron is leaving Thomson Reuters after leading its professional tax business since January 2006. He made the announcement of his December departure in his keynote at the company’s Synergy conference this week. He is being replaced by Charlotte Rushton who was named president of tax professionals in July.

Intuit has added Client Overview, to QuickBooks Online for Accountants. Debuted at the company’s QuickBooks Connect conference this week, the feature enables accountants to access a prospec'ts QBO account from the Overview tab inside QBO. This is visible to accountants only.

Liberty Tax has established a Code of Conduct hotline to report violations of the code, which was amended in July 2018. That change follows last year’s firing of CEO John Hewitt and the sale of his control of the copany this year, and issues which have been characterized as problems with the "tone at the top".
