Rippling Expands EOR Program 2
Rippling has expanded its Employer of Record program to eight new countries. The change is part of the latest monthly release of the office application.
With EOR, a user can establish a legal entity in a country outside the United States, giving the user the ability to hire and pay employees in other countries. The latest additions are Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Israel, New Zealand, the Philippines, Switzerland and Turkey.
In addition, Rippling is providing hourly workers with a weekly break down of pay on paystubs so they can see hours worked, including overtime, for each of the weeks included in the pay period.
Users can now down payroll comparison data as a CSV file. Rippling says it has also provided more efficient time-entry CSV imports for Time an Attendance since users can automatically reconcile timestamps based on the employee’s timezone and
filter down to a specific set of imported entries and delete only those

Xero had 251,000 subscribers in North America when the first half ended on June 30, the cloud software company said this month. That was an increase of 17 percent over a year earlier and compared to a 15.8-percent increase in subscriptions worldwide.

Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting has added CCH Axcess AutoCheck to its online tax and accounting software platform. The new module is designed for preparers of financial statements.
Fleszar Named SafeSend’s CEO
Scott Fleszar, a long-time Thomson Reuters executive, has been named CEO of SafeSend. Fleszar has been chief operating and strategy officer since November 2019. Fleszar’s appointment was effective immediately.
Deadline Shifts Thomson Tax and Accounting Revs
The postponement of the income tax filing deadline helped the top line for Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting for the third quarter ended September 30. However, currency changes meant the $165 million for the most recently ended period showed no growtheyear over year.
CPA Accused of Stealing from Elderly
A Brick Township, N.J.-based CPA and two others have been accused of stealing more than $1.5 million from two elderly siblings. Jeffrey Dampf, age 69, was unsuccessful in allegedly attempting to transfer another $500,000 from the clients’ accounts to his own.
ADP Sees Improved Outlook
Automatic Data Processing reported a 1-percent decline in revenue for the first quarter ended September 30. But that was better than expected and the payroll services company projected an improved outlook for the year ending June 30.
WK Tax/Accounting Revs Up 4 percent
Revenue or Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting rose 4 percent year-over-year for the nine months ended September 30, the company said in its recent trading update. North American revenue, which comprises 62 percent of the quarter, increased by 4 percent.
AICPA Awards COVID Hardship Grants
The American Institute of CPAs has awarded $50,000 in educational grants to undergraduate and graduate accounting students who have suffered financially because of the pandemic. Twenty-five AICPA Student Affiliate members have received $2,000 each.
KPMG: Pharma/Biotech Investment Booming
Venture capital investments in the economy’s pharma and biotech sector is booming, according to Venture Pulse, a quarterly report published by KPMG Private Enterprise. Globally, VC investment has risen for the second straight quarter, although more money went into far fewer deals.
Stock Awards Boost Bill.com Pay
Stock awards significantly boosted compensation for three Bill.com executives for the year ended June 30. CEO and founder Rene Lacerte was paid $17.2 million for the most recently ended year, more than triple the $5.4 million for fiscal 2019, accoring to documents filed with the SEC.
