Rippling Expands EOR Program 2

Rippling has expanded its Employer of Record program to eight new countries. The change is part of the latest monthly release of the office application.
With EOR, a user can establish a legal entity in a country outside the United States, giving the user the ability to hire and pay employees in other countries. The latest additions are Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Israel, New Zealand, the Philippines, Switzerland and Turkey.
In addition, Rippling is providing hourly workers with a weekly break down of pay on paystubs so they can see hours worked, including overtime, for each of the weeks included in the pay period.
Users can now down payroll comparison data as a CSV file. Rippling says it has also provided more efficient time-entry CSV imports for Time an Attendance since users can automatically reconcile timestamps based on the employee’s timezone and
filter down to a specific set of imported entries and delete only those
They can also import thousands of entries in seconds, versus 30 minutes.

QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions is giving Intuit a boost in desktop sales. Although most of the market is switching to QuickBooks Online, QBES, designed for the lower-end of the midmarket, is showing a strong performance, the company said during the recent earnings webcast for the first quarter ended October 31.

Rod Drury, CEO of cloud software vendor Xero, plans to sell 3 million shares in the New Zealand-based company. The deal is pending at $31.50 per share (New Zealand) and worth about $65 million.

AbacusNext, which acquired practice management vendor OfficeTools in May, has purchased HotDocs. The acquired company's products can generate customized documents such as contracts, sales agreements, government forms and loan documentation. Terms were not disclosed.

Automatic Data Processing appears to have overwhelmingly defeated a slate of insurgent board candidates. The payroll company said this week that preliminary results showed 10 directors were re-elected while three Pershing Square nominees drew less than 20 percent of the vote.
Xero Posts Positive EBITDA
Xero continues to make financial progress. It turned cash positive for the second half ended March 31, 2017. And for the half ended September 30, it reported EBITDA of about $14.7 million, compared to negative EBITDA of approximately $18 million in last's year's corresponding period.

Wolters Kluwer says revenue for the nine months ended September 30 was 5-percent higher than the corresponding period in 2016. Organic revenue was also 5 percent more than in the same period a year earlier as its health revenue led the company with a 6-percent year-over-year increase for period just reported.
