Rippling Expands EOR Program 2
Rippling has expanded its Employer of Record program to eight new countries. The change is part of the latest monthly release of the office application.
With EOR, a user can establish a legal entity in a country outside the United States, giving the user the ability to hire and pay employees in other countries. The latest additions are Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Israel, New Zealand, the Philippines, Switzerland and Turkey.
In addition, Rippling is providing hourly workers with a weekly break down of pay on paystubs so they can see hours worked, including overtime, for each of the weeks included in the pay period.
Users can now down payroll comparison data as a CSV file. Rippling says it has also provided more efficient time-entry CSV imports for Time an Attendance since users can automatically reconcile timestamps based on the employee’s timezone and
filter down to a specific set of imported entries and delete only those
They can also import thousands of entries in seconds, versus 30 minutes.

Sage has agreed to sell its North American payments business to private equity firm GTCR. The latter company has agreed to pay $260 million for Sage Payment Solutions, which generates about $150 million in revenue. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter, the companies said recently.

Indictment: Accountant Stole $3 Million

A Middletown, Del.-based accountant has been accused of embezzling almost $3 million from a trust. An indictment this month accused Donald Rice, age 54, of wire fraud, bank fraud, money laundering and tax offenses, for allegedly taking the money from the trust for personal uses, including purchase of a luxury vehicle.
Intuit to Offer Broad CRM Support

OfficeTools, which markets practice management and workflow applications, has been acquired by AbacusNext. The purchase of OfficeTools by San Diego, Calif.-based AbacusNext is the latest move by the organization to expand into the accounting firm marketplace.
QB Online Growth Accelerates
The increase in subscriptions for QuickBooks Online beat Intuit's estimates when the software company's third quarter ended on April 30. There were 2,222,000 subscribers on that date, up 59 percent over 1,397,000 for the prior year's corresponding period, Intuit said when it recently reported quarterly financial results.
