Rippling Expands EOR Program 2

 Rippling has expanded its Employer of Record program to eight new countries. The change is part of the latest monthly release of the office application.

With EOR, a user can establish a legal entity in a country outside the United States, giving the user the ability to hire and pay employees in other countries. The latest additions are Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Israel, New Zealand, the Philippines, Switzerland and Turkey.

In addition, Rippling is providing hourly workers with a weekly break down of pay on paystubs so they can see hours worked, including overtime, for each of the weeks included in the pay period.

Users can now down payroll comparison data as a CSV file. Rippling says it has also provided more efficient time-entry CSV imports for Time an Attendance since users can automatically reconcile timestamps based on the employee’s timezone and

filter down to a specific set of imported entries and delete only those 

They can also import thousands of entries in seconds, versus 30 minutes.

Abacus Enters CPA Market

Abacus Next, which provides software for legal professionals, has entered the CPA market with the purchase of Cloudnine Realtime and Results Software. Cloudnine hosts applications such as those from Intuit, Sage and Microsoft while Results produces CRM packages for QuickBooks users.

WK Tax & Accounting Revs Up 4 Percent

Nancy McKinstry, Wolters Kluwers Revenue for Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting rose 4 percent for the year ended December 31. Operating profits for the unit increased by 1 percent as the company this week reported solid contributions from on-premise and cloud-based software, but a decline in research and learning income.

AplosAplos is integrating its nonprofit accounting application with Church Community Builder. This enables contributions collected in Church Community Builder to be automatically recorded within Aplos Accounting. Both companies serve small-to-large-sized churches with cloud-based software.

Block Advisors Reaches 347 Offices

blockH&R Block says the number of Block Advisors offices reached 347, up 21 percent, over the first year of operation. The offices, which provide tax services, are also offering outsourced accounting through the use of Xero under an agreement reached in December to enable Block Advisors to use the cloud-based software.
