Miller Kaplan, a CPA firm based in Los Angeles, Calif., has promoted three individuals to partner. The three CPAs are Marijane Kantzabedian, Kelly Pollard, and Liel Shemtov.
Kantzabedian has been with the firm since January 2008, serving as an audit manager from August 2018 until her promotion. She specializes in audits for private companies and exempt organizations in the technology and service-oriented sectors, radio and television, as well as start-up organizations
Pollard, based in the firm’s office in San Francisco, Calif., joined Miller Kaplan in 2021 as audit and assurance manager. Prior to she, she was with San Francisco-based BPM from 2011 where she served as assurance senior manager in the firm.
Bob Scott has provided information to the tax and accounting community since 1991, first as technology editor of Accounting Today, and from 1997 through 2009 as editor of its sister publication, Accounting Technology. He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards. Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that.
