CompuPay has hired Mark Strippy as its new SVP to head its payroll operations. Strippy was the founder and president of Heartland Payment Systems and was with that company for more than 13 years and steps into a newly created position at the payroll services provider.
Strippy, who joined CompuPay in November, was with Heartland from January 1999 through April. Before that, he was a vice president at Key Bank and was responsible for the merchant services and payroll business lines. He was also assistant vice president for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and from January 1980 through December 1990 held a variety of positions within the payment and IT areas.
CompuPay was merged with BenefitMall in May. It markets the CompuPay Payroll Online, PowerPayroll and ExpressPayroll lines.
