Former CCH president Mike Sabbatis has joined RealPage, a Carrollton, Texas-based company, as chief revenue officer. Sabbatis held the job at CCH from March 2002 through October 2012 when he left in a year of significant changes at the tax and accounting company. RealPage produces SaaS products for the rental housing market.
RealPage has not yet announced the hiring. However, Sabbatis has posted the new title and job description on his LinkedIn page.
RealPage was founded by CEO Steve Winn, who was founder and leader of the former Computer Language Research/Fast-Tax, purchased by Thomson in 1998. Sabbatis was with CLR from April 1992 through February 1998 and served as VP of sales and consulting. He was with Thomson Reuters through January 2001 and was VP of business development and strategic accounts. Sabbatis joined CCH in March 2002 as VP of business development.
Since January 1, RealPage has actively added executives. It has had new hires for the positions of SVP, global contact center operations, chief information officer and an SVP of Ops Solutions, RealPage's vendor compliance and purchasing solutions service for multifamily property owners.
Bob Scott has provided information to the tax and accounting community since 1991, first as technology editor of Accounting Today, and from 1997 through 2009 as editor of its sister publication, Accounting Technology. He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards. Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that.
