Paychex has hired John B. Gibson as SVP of service, a new position at the payroll services company. A spokesperson says the job is focused on service delivery for all products other than the company's insurance offerings.
Before Martin Mucci became CEO, he was SVP of operations. That position was not filled after his promotion in October 2010. Instead, the company had VPs in the areas of IT, product management and health insurance operations which had reported to the operations SVP which now report to Mucci.
Gibson was most recently president and CEO of AlphaStaff where he worked from June 2010 through February 2012. Before that he was with Convergys from June 2004 through June 1010 where he was president of the HR Management division and earlier was SVP of global operations and clients services for that company's HR business process outsourcing operations.
