Crowe Names Chief Data Scientist

Justin Bass, CroweCrowe has named Justin Bass as the accounting firm's first chief data science officer. The Chicago-based accounting firm (known as Crowe Horwarth until this week) also created a  data science business unit, which employs more than 20 data scientists.

Bass, previously head data scientist, joined Crowe in 2015 as the firm’s only data scientist. The firm says the group “has incorporated machine learning into a few solutions in a very short amount of time.” The new role will have Bass continuing to focus on adding machine learning to Crowe applications.
