The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters has launched a Certified Implementer Program for its OneSource corporate tax products and named Grant Thornton as the first participant. The agreement is with the U.S. member firm of Grant Thornton International but all member firms outside this country are eligible to participate.
The company says the program was created to ensure successful implementation and integration of its software in corporate tax and accounting departments. Thomson's debut of the program comes as its gives an increased prominence to corporate and sales and uses taxes with plans to launch a Global Tax Workstation this year.
Grant Thornton's certification initially covers OneSource Tax Provision and One Source WorkFlow Manager.
The Thomson line was also expanded in June with the introduction of the OneSource R&D Tax Credit Manager and with additions to the Sabrix line. The latest product release for Sabrix, acquired last year, was a new version of the Sabrix Application Suite, a global transaction tax platform. While many of the features involved taxation outside the U.S., the system also offers a single sign-on function so that users with third-party applications need to enter credentials only once in their network to gain access to Sabrix.
