The Internal Revenue Service will establish a new work unit to focus on large or complex pass-through entities. This is another part of the IRS effort to increase attention to high-income compliance issues.
Housed in the IRS Large Business and International, the new unit will include some of those that are part of 3,700 new revenue agent being hired by the IRS. These are to expand enforcement work focusing on complex partnerships, large corporations, and high-income and high-wealth individuals.
