Intuit Details Tax Software Updates

Intuit has published information on new features in its tax software products—the desktop packages, Lacerte and Pro Series, and its cloud-based ProConnect Tax.

It also details information about enhancements to Intuit Tax Advisor, which integrates with Lacerte and ProConnect to provide tax planning information.

ProConnect’s enhancements include the ability to pull client data from the Internal Revenue Service into the application via the IRS transcripts features. In addition, users can create and send templated letters to clients, with preset and customized tax return data fields and signatures.

The software now provides a dashboard to view firm performance, including reports about annual client growth, time spent on returns at both the firm and user level and comparison reports.

Users of both Lacerte and ProSeries can create and e-file an unlimited number of W-2s and 1099s for clients’ employees and contractors.  Both packages can be e-filed and printed within a business and across multiple businesses individually and in bulk. The enhancements include support for Forms W-2, 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099-INT, and 1099-DIV and supports W-3 and 1096 forms automatically.

With Lacerte, users can now send client’ returns to SafeSend directly from the Lacerte client grid and more quickly start plans for 1010 clients via a click from the client grid to open and sign into Tax Advisor.
