Drake Hosted utilizes the Citrix XenApp platform for what it calls true hybrid cloud functionality. In a prepared statement, John Sapp, Drake's VP of strategic development noted the platform supports a dual-monitor configuration and integrates with peripherals such as local printers and scanners.

The software company's support for hosted applications includes its telephone and email technical support, a web-based dashboard for account management, and an expert network IT department to help professionals during the transition.

The Microsoft products that are being hosted are Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
