He pleaded guilty in July to aiding and assisting in the preparation of a false tax return.
Harris owned and operated TNA Tax Services and TNT Tax Services, which were located in Danville and Rocky Mount, Va.
Harris used a variety of techniques to boost client refunds. After the IRS revoked his Electronic Filing Identification Number in December 2012, he used another person's EFIN to continue filing returns. Harris admitted his conduct caused a tax loss of more than $250,000.
He was originally indicated on 24 counts for returns prepared and filed for nine different clients.
