IRS Spells Out New Security Measures

Jon Baron, Thomson ReutersThirty-seven new data elements will be added to the transmission of tax returns during the 2017 filing season, one of the steps being taken to increase return security. That is among the major initiatives being implemented as a result of the Security Summit in which the IRS, states and vendors agree to measures to combat fraud.
