CPA Gets 21 Years in Ponzi Scheme

dojJonathan D. Davey, a Newark, Ohio-based tax preparer, has been sentenced to 21 years in federal prison for his role in the Black Diamond Ponzi scheme that swindled victims out of more than $40 million. Davey allegedly used shell companies that helped finance the construction of his 9,000-sq.ft. Ohio mansion that had a secret escape passage by preying on the elderly.
