Intuit has created a Regional Business Development Team that will works with accountants and ProAdvisors. The program is designed to help practitioners grow their business via the use ofthe company's cloud-based products. The five persons hired initially will educate accountants about cloud applications and provide support and training to help them build a better cloud accounting practice.

Former CCH CEO Mike Sabbatis has been hired as COO of XCM Solutions. The company also named its VP of sales and marketing, Bob Locke, as chief revenue officer. XCM says the moves reflect its plans for expanding operations and said its second-quarter revenue was 121-percent higher than the corresponding period a year earlier.

Harshwal & Company, a CPA firm with offices in San Diego, Calif., and Albuquerque, N.M., has been named Rookie of the Year by AccuFund. It was the second time the Needham, Mass.-based nonprofit software company has given this award and was made as AccFund presented its 2104 Partner Leadership awards recently to its resellers.
