Nonprofit vendor Blackbaud intends to re-enter the software reselling market next year. The Charleston, S.C.-based company outlined its plans recently during its Investors' Day. Blackbaud wants to use dealers to push its new cloud-based NXT line.
The company said it is also expanding its direct sales force. Blackbaud wants to reach both its installed base and new customers with Financial Edge NXT and Raiser's Edge NXT, its funding accounting and fund raising software packages. The company says it also is pursuing a vertical focus on K-12 private schools, arts and cultural groups, foundations, and corporations.
Blackbaud expressed its pleasure at the progress of its Partner Program, which was introduced this year. That program's members include other publishers whose software can integrate with Blackbaud products. Blackbaud's channel programs are led by Chris Clinton, VP of global channels and partner ecosystems.
