Practice management software vendor OfficeTools has become a reseller of Crexendo telephone systems. The companies have not provided great detail about plans but the goal is to have cloud-based phone systems integrate with the next version of OfficeTools WorkSpace, which is scheduled to hit the market next year.

"We have an opportunity to tell people about a great VoIP system that will bring value to our software and allows to partner with Crexcendo and closely influence future features for our users," says OfficeTools CEO Mike Giardina. The plan is the integration will give WorkSpace uses a click-to-call function, among other features.

Besides offering cloud-based voice communication services for the office, Crexendo also provides a mobile app, CrexMo, that enables customers to use their desktop telephone number from mobile devices. The system supports both iPhone and Android devices. It provides visual voicemail and lets users separate business from personal calls.

OfficeTools says its WorkSpace product supports what it calls the entire Practice Management Lifecycle. That spans everything from client intake, throw scheduling, CRM, scanning, workflow, tracking and billing, along with several other functions.
