Few members' names will conflict when addresses are assigned when the CPA.com email becomes available, according to Greg LaFollette, VP of product strategy for CPA2Biz. The new domain is expected to become available this fall to provide addresses to members of the American Institute of CPAs.

Thomson Reuters says it plans to disband its divisional structure and transition to what it termed "a set of focused business units." It will make that change in 2012 and eliminate its Markets and Professional divisions. The company's Tax & Accounting business falls under the Professional Division.

Intuit has been grappling with outages and delays that have affected a number of its online services, including payment processing during much this week. Initially, Intuit reported that a weekend update had caused the problems, but issues persisted for the next two days.
