Intuit Readies Practice Management Suite

Intuit is developing an office management suite for tax and accounting professionals that will also integrate across Lacerte, QuickBooks and Microsoft Outlook. The company is not ready to release specifics about the functionality, but the move would put Intuit in the practice management software market, something that has been missing in its professional line, and give it more products for larger firms.
Macdonald and Infor Part Company

Taylor Macdonald, who ran the reseller program for Sage North America for several years, has left Infor, an enterprise software company for which he was building a global reseller program. Confirmation of his departure coincided with a press release by Infor stating it had enlisted 25 new channel partners and declaring its program a success. The released a statement saying that "Taylor devoted his full energy to an evaluation of our current channel program, including extensive travel to visit partners around the globe."
Thomson CEO's Pay Almost $9.5 Million

Thomson Reuters CEO Thomas Glocer pulled down $9.45 million in compensation for 2009, the first full year of the combined operations of Thomson and Reuters. Excluding a substantial grant Glocer received for work in integrating the companies, the more usual sources of income gave him $8.5 million for 2008. That information came in preparation for the annual meeting at which the directors are supporting a resolution giving shareholders a non-binding say on executive compensation.
