Intuit is taking its GoPayment mobile credit card app and card reader global with its first move into another country--into Canada. The company also said it would begin shipping a free re-designed card reader in both the United States and Canada. The Canadian products are scheduled to be available early this year. No schedule was discussed for releasing the app in other countries.

The Internal Revenue Service has released new proposed guidelines that would more people eligible to request relief from income tax liability as innocent spouses. The new revenue procedure would revise threshold requirements and factors used by the IRS to evaluate such requests.

Camico, the liability insurance company, has named Thomas Pytel Jr. as VP of marketing and communications.  He succeeds Sandra A. Maker, who retired in December after 19 years with the company. Pytel also has responsibility for agency management and direct sales.
