Rippling Expands EOR Program 2

 Rippling has expanded its Employer of Record program to eight new countries. The change is part of the latest monthly release of the office application.

With EOR, a user can establish a legal entity in a country outside the United States, giving the user the ability to hire and pay employees in other countries. The latest additions are Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Israel, New Zealand, the Philippines, Switzerland and Turkey.

In addition, Rippling is providing hourly workers with a weekly break down of pay on paystubs so they can see hours worked, including overtime, for each of the weeks included in the pay period.

Users can now down payroll comparison data as a CSV file. Rippling says it has also provided more efficient time-entry CSV imports for Time an Attendance since users can automatically reconcile timestamps based on the employee’s timezone and

filter down to a specific set of imported entries and delete only those 

They can also import thousands of entries in seconds, versus 30 minutes.

Xero Offers Revamped Certification

Amy Vetter, XeroXero has launched a revamped program to certify accountants and bookkeepers for gaining knowledge in the  use of its cloud-based, small business software. The new Xero Certification program, available at the end of September, is described as providing personalized certification.

Doug SleeterSageworks has released a three-part series of podcasts on iTunes. Called, Next-Level Accountants: Your guide to growing a firm of trusted advisors," the free podcasts feature interviews with industry experts Ronald J. Blair Crump, Sage Sage, which has been moving away from country-by-country organization, has named Blair Crump as president. It is the first time the United Kingdom-based software company has had a resident for the company's world-wide operations and is part of a massive replacement among the top 100 executives and managers that has occurred in the last two years.

Software Drives Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting

Nancy McKinstry, Wolters KluwerSoftware drove a revenue increase of 4 percent for Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting North America for the first half ended June 30. Worldwide, tax and accounting produced revenue of about $627.6 million, up 1 percent. In a recent earnings statement, the company attributed the unit's North American growth to sales of both its on-premise and cloud-based applications.

Sage Launches Integration Cloud

Stephen Hare, SageSage has introduced the Sage Cloud to integrate applications to connect all its products. In a trading update for the third quarter ended June, CFO Stephen Hare said this week the impact should not be measured in its financial impact this year, but in how it changes the way products are used.

Sage CEO: 15K Summit Registrations

Steve Kelly, Sage Fifteen thousand individuals have registered for the Sage Summit conference being held this week in Chicago. Those figures were provided in a tweet last week by Sage CEO Steve Kelly who said that many had signed up to attend and that another 15,000 have registered for remote attendance.

Blackbaud Purchases Attentive.ly

Mike Gianoni, Blackbaud Nonprofit software vendor Blackbaud has acquired Attentive.ly, a company that enables organizations to conduct social listening. Charleston, S.C.-based Blackbaud plans to more deeply integrate Attentive.ly's capabilities into the next generation version of Luminate Online, which is a marketing tool. Terms were not disclosed.

Thomson Offers Checkpoint State Clear Comply

Thomson Reuters has introduced Checkpoint State Clear Comply, designed for multi-tier partnerships and S Corporations with a presence in multiple states. The tool can be used to highlight nexus flow-up issues and generate reports about composite returns, non-resident withholding and annual returns.
