Intuit App Center Provides Access to Biz Software

QB 2010 logoMOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - Businesses can locate, buy and use Web-based applications on Intuit's App Center from within the toolbars in QuickBooks Pro and Premier 2010. The company said more than 30 applications from Intuit and third parties are available through the new Internet platform. The company said it is also making it easier for developers to build applications by providing better integration with users' desk-top QuickBooks data via the new Intuit Partner Platform API.

The company said that by using the new capabilities, the Intuit Data Services, developers can integrate data such as items, jobs, accounts and sales representatives, accounts receivable transactions, estimates, sales orders, invoices and payments. Among the features in the data services are billing entitlements that give developers more pricing options for software  which include enabling them to set prices based on features in each version of an application, along with the number of users. There are also self-serve Google Analytics that can track performance and application usage while the Intuit Sync Agent, a wizard within QuickBooks 2010, is design to simplify the customer setup process. With this tool, customers can permit their QuiickBook data to be available to the Internet-based Intuit applications by using a wizard when they set up their first application in the Intuit App Center.

Applications available in the AppCenter include Document Management, Central Desktop, FuelStation by ClickFuel, Expensify, MyFax and TableTop Dashboards and Reports by DreamFactory. They are available at http://workplace.intuit.com.
