Friedman+Huey Nabs Taxologist Award

ThomsonReutersFriedman+Huey, an accounting firm based in Homewood, Ill., has received the Taxologist award from Thomson Reuters. The award was given to the firm for what Thomson said was its mastery of, “the use of cloud technology to optimize tax workflow effectivenes"

That award was among several Customer Superstar Awards announced this week at the company’s annual Synergy user conference.

Dayna Roane of Perry & Roane received the Ideas Communities Award. Roane, who works at the Niwot, Colo.-based firm, was recognized as the individual whose collective Ideas Community suggestion entries received the highest number of votes from practitioner community members over the past 12 months.

Papin CPAPapin CPA of Edmond, Okla., was recognized as the firm that did the most in the last year to innovate, invigorate, and grow their business. The  Rookie of the Year Award was given to Warren Sasser & Associates, which has offices in Florida and Alabama.

The myPay Solutions Partner Award for the firm that did the most to grow its business in partnership with myPay went to Robert and Jolie Palmer of Fort Mill, S.C.-based Robert Palmer and Associates. Knoble Ingle CPAs of Rock Hill, S.C. was given the Excellence in Tax & Accounting Research Workflow Award, which was based on mastering its "tax, accounting or audit research and workflows to produce new levels of firm efficiency and client benefits.
