In a recent webcast for earnings reported for the first quarter ended March 31, CEO Carlos Rodriguez said details about the transformation program will be spelled out at ADP’s Investors’ day on June 12.
The company expects a fourth-quarter charge of $46 million for that program.
In March, ADP said a voluntary early retirement offer had been made to about 3,500 workers, about 6 percent of its total. The company expects taking a charge of about $250 million in the fourth quarter with all electing retirement to leave by March 31.
For the quarter, the company had $643.1 million in net income, an increase of 9 percent from $587.9 for the prior year’s corresponding period. Revenue for the most recently quarter was $3.69 billion, up 8 percent from $3.41 billion. First-quarter payroll services revenue of $2.8 billion was 7.2-percent higher than the $2.62 billion a year earlier.
