Armanino has acquired the Resource Group, a Seattle, Wash.-based, Value-Added Reseller. The Resource Group carries Dynamics GP and Sage Intacct financial software. The deal will be completed on December 1.
The VAR’s staff will joined the accounting firm's Seattle office, which opened in March. The Resource Group is headed by CEO and co-founder, Marty Schillaci, and was founded in January 1988
The Resource Group reported in its submission for Bob Scott’s VAR Stars for 2019 it had revenue of $5.9 million and a staff of 25. In its Top 100 submission for 2019, Armanino’s consulting operations had revenue of $96.8 million and a staff of 362. In the acquisition announcement, Armanino said it now has 400 consultants.
In addition to already carrying Dynamics GP and Intacct, Armanino resells Dynamics AX and 365 Finance and Operations.
Bob Scott has provided information to the tax and accounting community since 1991, first as technology editor of Accounting Today, and from 1997 through 2009 as editor of its sister publication, Accounting Technology. He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards. Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that. A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in journalism, Bob is a native of Madison, Ind
