Avalara has hired Jay Leeas its new chief marketing officer. That means the sales tax company will have new people in its top sales and marketing jobs as Pascal Van Dooren, former chief revenue officer, left in October.
Lee fills a vacancy left by Jeremy Korst, who held the post from January 2017 through January 2018. Lee worked at Swift Financial which he joined in March 2015 and served as chief marketing and product officer. Swift was purchased by PayPal in August 2017.
Before that, he was chief strategy officer for the U.S. region of Aimia from July 2012 through January 2015. He was with American Express from August 2005 and was GM of business solutions, Open, from May 2008 through July 2012.
