Somerset CPAs and Advisors has merged in Dataquest Solution’s Acumatica practice an affiliated company. The new organization, Somerset Technology Solutions will be led by David Gelula and Debbie Mazzullo from Dataquest and Jason Leveson from Somerset.
Gelula, now an owner of STS, was principal consultant and general manager of Dataquest from January 2018 until taking the new job. Mazzullo served as principal there from April 2016. Leveson, now managing director of the new group, has been with Indianapolis, Ind.-based Somerset since 2018.
Gelula was a manager at Azamba Consulting Group from June 2007 through June 2016. Mazzullo founded Mazzullo Inc., a technology consulting group, in 1987. Leveson was a director of professional services with Deltek from 2014 through 2018. He had a tenure of 11 years one month with Somerset from 1999 through 2010, where he was a manger in the information solutions team for more than eight years
Bob Scott has provided information to the tax and accounting community since 1991, first as technology editor of Accounting Today, and from 1997 through 2009 as editor of its sister publication, Accounting Technology. He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards. Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that.
