Rea & Associates, an accounting and consulting firm based in New Philadelphia, Ohio, has promoted three CPAs to principal and elevated three others to director-level positions. The three new principals are Chris Ricker, Kyle Stemple and Chad Welty.
Ricker specializes in complex tax compliance issues and employee benefit plan audits and joined the firm in 1996. Stemple, who started at Rea in 2002, works in consulting, tax and audit services. He is also a member of Rea's manufacturing segment. Welty, who joined in 2005, specializes in school and local government auditing, GAAP conversions and agreed-upon procedures, serves on Rea's government team and also coaches other staff members.
The three others who were promoted were Chad Bice to director of taxation services; Michaela McGinn to director of assurance services; and Gene Spittle to director of manufacturing services. Coming to the firm in 2007, Bice specializes in federal, state and local tax for privately-held businesses in the construction, healthcare, distribution, service and manufacturing industries as well as assisting high net worth individuals.
Spittle joined Rea in 1981 and specializes in business consulting in the manufacturing, construction and distribution as well as auto, farm and heavy equipment dealership industries. McGinn, who came on board in 2010, specializes in audit services.
