Schneider Downs Founder Dies
James T. Schneider, founding partner of Schneider Downs & Co., died of cancer this month while vacationing in Naples, Fla. He was 83, according to his obituary on postgazette.com, an online edition of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Schneider retired from the Pittsburgh, Pa.-based firm in 1985. Schneider Downs is now the fifty-ninth largest accounting firm in the country with 240 employees. He worked at the former J.R. McCartan & Co. before founding his own firm in 1956
