Nagayama was an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and Certified QuickBooks Enterprise ProAdvisor. Her LinkedIn profile noted she had written and recorded numerous courses for Intuit Academy and the ProAdvisor Certification Team.

Doug Sleeter, founder of the Sleeter Group, called Nagayama, "A good friend of mine and someone who helped everyone around her."

He noted she taught seminars for the Sleeter Group from 1998 through 2000 and developed some certifications for QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online. Sleeter said she had been the Sleeter Group's chief QuickBooks consultant since 2004 and was one of Intuit's top resellers.

Nagayama was "Widely known as one of the best experts on QuickBooks," Sleeter said.
