LumiQ, which provides podcast-first CPE courses, has received $5 million in funding. The parent company, Luminari said the seven-year-old operation has more than 200 hours of CPE content online.
LumiQ, which is approved to provide courses in all 50 states and Canada, said the audio emphasis is for accountants who do not wish to spend hours in front of computers in order to take CPA-oriented courses. The company currently lists BDO, Sage, C.Suite.Com, the Marquee Group and Women Get OnBoard as content providers
Those who sign up for the service can qualify for five free CPE credits. Pricing plans include CPE Pro, which is priced at $499 per year and offers full content access and a CPE Tracker. Custom plans are also available.
The funding round was led by Joel Lessen, and joined by previous investors, including William Tunstall-Pedoe FREng and new investors that includes Mark Jaine, Will Anderson, Paul Hill
