N.Y. Preparers Charged in ID Theft

Three New York City owners of tax preparation businesses have been indicted on charges they used stolen identity information to prepare federal tax returns. In unrelated cases, Hakeem Bamgbala, and Afolabi Ajelero, owner of Kaybamz , a tax preparation business in Brooklyn; and Oyeniyi Jaiyesimi, who operates a tax preparation business in Springfield Gardens, face trial on multiple counts of alleged wire fraud and identity theft.
Moss Adams Joins NetSuite Program

Oracle NetSuite has signed Moss Adams as part of its reseller network. The Seattle, Wash.-based accounting firm has been part of the cloud software company's Business Process Outsourcing program, since 2015. It is the latest in Oracle NetSuite's ability to sign multi-office firms.
AICPA Hires D.C. Director

The American Institute of CPAs has hired Lakecia Foster Stickney as director of congressional and political affairs. She is responsible for representing the AICPA before Congress, the Administration and other major public policy organizations, and for implementing advocacy initiatives of the accounting profession.
