The simplicity of the product comes with some limitations, however. Intuit Online Payroll does not support outsourced tax filing, workers compensation calculations, complex payroll calculations, job costing, payments to contractors, and does not provide role-based security to assist with segregation of duties. The product also does not support payroll tax forms in many states. Finally, the website warns that performance may suffer if the total number of employees who are paid in a year exceeds 100. Accordingly, users may want to consider a different service if those limitations are not acceptable.
