The Internal Revenue Service is adding more than 5,000 employees at itsservice processing centers in Austin, Texas; Kansas City, Mo. and Ogden, Utah. New hires are expected to begin work withing 30 to 45 days of job offers.
Temporary, term and permanent jobs are available with many to be hired for entry-level clerk and tax examiner positions in the Wage and Investment Division. No prior tax experience is required.
The IRS will review resumes and extend officers to eligible applicants on the spot during virtual direct hiring events on March 16, 23 and 30. In-person events are being held at Kansas City on March 18 and 19; at Austin on March 24 and 25; and Ogden on March 31 and April 1.
