Drake Parent Becomes Taxwell

 ChangeDrake Software has selected Taxwell as the name of the parent company, now that it is offering two separate product lines. The change has come about now that the company markets tax preparation software under the Drake and TaxAct names.

TaxAct was acquired last year from Blucora by Drake’s parent, Cinven, which brought the two tax software lines together. Those businesses will continue to operate under the different brands, serving different client bases. 

In its announced, Taxwell noted the new name is an important milestone and will further provide both companies with the opportunity to align strategic goals and objectives.”
