Jackson Hewitt Tax Service has entered an agreement with Matrix Learning to make its ExamMatrix Registered Tax Return Preparer Exam Review course available to the tax chain's preparers. Jackson Hewitt says it has more than 25,000 tax professionals.

Before the deal, Matrix was already providing the tax preparation company with its IRS Enrolled Agent training course. The new new agreement was reached because theInternal Revenue Service requires paid tax preparers to pass the exam by Dec. 31, 2013. CPAs, Enrolled Agents and tax attorneys are exempt from the mandate.
