Aplos Opens Code to Developers

Tim Goetz, Aplos SoftwareAplos Software, which makes cloud-based nonprofit software, has published its application programming interface. APIs enable developers of other software applications to connect with another program. Making the API public enables developers who write software for nonprofits and churches to interface the application with Aplos.

"The API will allow these organizations a convenient way to keep their data up to date across all of their platforms and reduce the amount of time required to manage their organization," CEO Tim Goetz said in a prepared statement.

Aplos targets small midsized nonprofits with its cloud-based applications. Its Starter edition is priced at $15 a month and the Standard edition at $30 monthly. The top level is "The Works" for $50 a month. The latter includes the contact management database and CRM, among other additional capabilities.

The company introduced an online donor management program, Aplos Donor Relations, in February. Included in The Works, Relations is also available at $35 per month and includes unlimited users, 2,000 email recipients, donation tracking, donor management and email communication.
