TurboTax Unit Sales Up 10 Percent

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - A continuing explosion in the sale of desktop versions of TurboTax fueled a 10-percent growth in the number of units of the tax preparation software sold by Intuit through March 13. The number of Web units sold rose by 20 percent over the same point in tax season 2009 as sales of desktop units dropped by 2 percent.

The IRS Asks for Trouble; Some Kinds Anyway

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service wants trouble, at least in the sense that it wants tax issues such as controversies, disputes or unnecessary burdens on business taxpayers submitted to Industry Issue Resolution. Submission received by March 31 will be considered for acceptance. Those accepted will be placed on the Treasury/IRS Priority Guidance List. Read more...
