A North Carolina tax preparer faces a 20-count indictment that claims his return fraud cost the government $4.7 million in unwarranted refunds.

 
Cloud accounting software company Xero intends to cut 700 to 800 jobs. The company says the total represents about 15 percent of its workforce.

The concept of internal control over sustainability reporting has been introduced by The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission. COHO says these controls and use of guidance in a study about such reporting will “ build trust and confidence in ESG/sustainability reporting, public disclosures, and enterprise decision-making."
