The annual Avalara Crush conference has become eight regional conferences. Crush has not been held in-person since 2019 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Industry veteran Matthew Jagst has become VP of product management at Drake Software this month. Jagst spent a combined  27 years with Creative Solutions and then Thomson Reuters, which purchased the former company in 1997.

 The number of tax returns received through February 10 rose by 9.1 percent over those filed through Feb. 11, 2022, the Internal Revenue Service said this week.
