Intuit has named Misty Megia as leader of the global ProAdvisor Program effective this week. Before assuming the new position, Megia led the accounting programs and education strategy team at TSheets by QuickBooks.

The Sixth Annual Accounting Firm Operations and Technology Survey has opened. The Survey, whose results will be released in eBook in May, will be open through February and is designed to be completed by practicing accounting, tax and bookkeeping professionals.

Final regulations and related guidance have been to implement the qualified business income deduction (section 199A deduction). Released by the Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service issued the deduction is available for tax years beginning after Dec. 31, 2017.
