TaxAct Seeks New President

TaxAct is seeking a new president following the announcement that the current job holder, JoAnn Kintzel, plans to leave the company. Kintzel will remain under a transition agreement until a successor is appointed. The company did not report that Kintzel had any immediate plans aftr leaving the company.
Florida Preparer Must Disgorge $1M

A Florida preparer must disgore $1 million after he agreed to be barred from preparing tax returns for others. Demetrius Scott of Orlando must pay the money that the United States says represents proceeds from phony tax returns he and his staff preparer for customers.
Intacct Secures $40M in Debt Financing

Intacct, a cloud software company, has secured $40 million in debt financing. The San Jose, Calif.-based company received the financing commitment recently via a new debt facility from Silicon Valley Bank, which joins several existing equity investors.
