CCH is being remade. The latest change element is the pending departure of Mike Sabbatis, who has served as president and CEO since 2007. He will leave in September. That follows the June resignation of Bob Dias, VP of product management, after 33 years with the company. Sabbatis will be succeeded by Karen Abramson.
The company had also hired Teresa Mackintosh, a long-time Thomson executive, this year to fill a vacant position as head of the tax division.
Sabbatis joined CCH in 2002 as VP of business development and then was global EVP of sales and marketing. He issued a statement that "the time is right for me to pursue the professional interest I have in continuing to advance as a business leader by broadening my experience across industries."
Abramson was president and CEO at Wolters Kluwer Health Medical Research starting in 2006. She joined Wolters Kluwer in 2000 as VP of operations for CT Corsearch, a division of Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services. She became VP and general manager of that unit in 2004.
